No. 2: Sell caffeinated beverages

There’s no LDS Church policy against consuming caffeine.

Yet, for some reason, BYU doesn’t sell caffeinated beverages at their food court, or in any of their sporting venues.

Well, technically, BYU did provide a reason. It’s so nonsensical that it might actually cause you physical pain, but here it is.

BYU spokeswoman Carri Jenkins told the Daily Universe in 2012 that “there has not been a demand for caffeinated beverages.”

Okay. Sure. That’s either entirely ignorant or entirely misinformed. Either way, based on the people I’ve spoken to, there’s definitely a demand.

Especially now that a solid chunk of BYU football home games kick off at 8pm or later. I bet a good number of people would like a little pick-me-up at halftime.

It’s a silly and small thing, but it sure would make people happy.
