No. 3: Improve comfort

Avoid expanding LaVell Edwards Stadium, just focus on optimizing comfort for the already-installed seats and benches.

One of the easiest fixes – and one that would make a ton of people happy – is to add backs to all the bench seating.

I’ve sat on plenty of those benches and it never fails. By about the four-minute mark of the second quarter my back is killing me.

There may be a concern about space. Would it cramp everyone’s leg room? I don’t think it would, mainly because people bring their own stadium chairs anyway. Save that hassle of bringing a chair (which would save a boatload of time at the gate – one less item for security to check) and get rid of the “rent a back” cushioned seat, and just add backs to the benches.

Plus, it may give the illusion of a fuller stadium on television.
