BYU football: Five freshmen that will make an impact this season

Kieffer Longson, OL

There’s a lot to like about Longson. He plays with an edge and nastiness that makes Mike Empey proud. He’s the kind of gritty player that thrives in the trenches.

When he was in high school, he had the tendency to get high in his stance. But that tends to happen when you can dominate opponents.

That was something I wanted to check in on during spring ball, and by all accounts Longson looked great. He’ll be in BYU football’s offensive line rotation.
