No. 2: Who will start a free safety?
Replacing Kai Nacua will not be easy.
Matt Hadley, Tanner Jacobson, and Zayne Anderson are the front runners here. All three played last year, but the only substantial part of the rotation was Hadley.
The most prestigious recruit of BYU football’s 2017 class, Chaz Ah You, may have a chance at this position as well. I’m wondering if the coaches would be willing to start such a young, inexperienced athlete.
Granted, that was no concern for them last season, which worked out quite well (Troy Warner, Dayan Ghanwoloku come to mind).
