Trey Dye finishes with 30 receptions

Trey Dye is unique, because he could be a dangerous receiver out of the backfield for BYU football. Now, while 30 catches might not seem like a ton, but that would’ve put him at fifth on the team a season ago.

That’s also 10 more than Canada, Williams, KJ Hall and Brayden El-Bakri had last season combined.

The personnel is right for BYU football to utilize more screen passes. The passing game will be better than a season ago, so opposing defenses have to stay honest, the offensive line is athletic and Dye is the perfect back for that situation.
