No. 3: Young and in run

Okay, I’ll apologize for that. That was a sub-par headline pun. I’ll do better from here on out.

But, it’s kind of true. The Vikings have a ton of young ball carriers after their three leading rushers from a season ago departed.

At the top of the depth chart is Za’Quan Summers – the lone exception. He’s a senior this year and averaged 7.3 yards per carry on 29 touches a season ago.

Outside of Summers, the Vikings will use freshman Jason Talley – a real bruiser of a runner – and some combination of Antwone Williams, Bishop Mitchell and Amon Milliner, who are also all freshmen.

Behind a talented offensive line, they might be able to find some creases.
