Good Case Scenario:

Armed Forces Bowl

Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Payout: $1,767,000

Matchup: B10 No. 10 vs. Army

T.V. coverage: ESPN, 12/23 (Saturday), 3:30pm eastern

If Army can’t get bowl eligible or the Big 10 doesn’t have enough teams to take this opening, there’s a chance that 9-4 or better would get the nod here.

Although a pre-Christmas bowl, Saturday afternoons are always a good tv slot. Besides, players and coaches love getting home before the holidays, and this would allow them to do so.

A trip to Texas during the bowl season is always worthwhile.  The wages are adequate for what BYU football needs. Another possible “Power 5” opponent is enticing, but even Army would be something new.
