Over/Under 2.5 turnovers forced for the Cougars?

Nate: I’ll take the over here. I think that BYU football will break this game open before halftime, making Portland State one dimensional. Once the Cougars can sit on the pass, I expect their ball-hawking nature to come out in full force.

I think BYU picks off at least two passes and recovers two fumbles, giving the Cougars four in week one.

Josh: I’ll take the over with the Cougars’ experienced defensive backfield. Warner will undoubtedly be on the prowl and Micah Hannemann will look to improve and implement elements from Kai Nacua’s game. I’ll take a Dayan Ghanwoloku interception, a Warner interception and a fumble recovery by the D-line for three turnovers at a minimum.

Beyond that, I’d hope for fewer than two turnovers from the Cougar offense. First game nerves always factor into things, but with the experience and talent that group has, I expect things to be sharper than normal.
