In a rivalry known for close games and last-second wins, lets take a look at the 10 most memorable games in Holy War history. The ones that went BYU football’s way, of course.

It’s a rivalry that’s been going for 95 years and 90 games. Or 121 years and 96 games.

Depends on who you ask.

The Holy War between BYU football and Utah is fierce. It’s heated. It can be flat-out mean at times.

It’s one of the best rivalries in college football. In fact, it comes in as the 14th best in the country according to Athlon Sports.

There have been stretches of dominance on both sides. Utah won 34 out of the first 40 matchups. BYU won 19 of 21 between 1972 and 1992.

The pendulum has swung back toward the Utes recently, as they’ve taken 14 of the last 17, including the last six in a row.

And every year it’s a battle, no matter who has the better team or better record. 16 of the last 19 games have been decided by a touchdown or less.

With so many close games, there have been plenty of memorable, exciting, and historic Holy War contests.

Let’s take a look at the 10 best games in this rivalry. Of course, we’re wearing blue goggles, so it’s the 10 best BYU moments and victories.
