No. 8: 1998 – BYU 26, Utah 24

It was a mediocre season for both teams. BYU would finish the season 9-5, and Utah at 7-4.

The Holy War didn’t disappoint, though. The Cougars never trailed, but could never pull away either.

The Utes made their move in the fourth quarter. Daniel Jones took a kickoff to the house, pulling Utah within two points. After a defensive stop, the Utes drove to within field goal range, giving kicker Ryan Kaneshiro the shot at a game-winning field goal.

The kick went off the upright as time expired, and the Cougars escaped with the 26-24 win.
