Make Hornibrook throw the ball

Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook is much like LSU’s Danny Etling. He’s a fine player, but he isn’t going to win any games with his arm.

Because so many of his throws are designed to be easy (play action, short throws), he doesn’t have to progress and make multiple reads often. Therefore, he can become a sitting duck in the pocket.

He also doesn’t have the strongest arm, so the deep ball isn’t something Wisconsin likes to rely on.

So, BYU football needs to try to limit yards on first and second down, which will put Wisconsin in a third and long, forcing the Badgers to throw. But as we already covered, that will be no easy task for the Cougars.
