Wisconsin linebacker Garrett Dooley has said the Badgers find their groove in the second half. Is Wisconsin more of a second-half team?

Noah Seligman: I appreciate Dooley’s enthusiasm – he had a solid game on Saturday. But it’s sort of too soon to know if that’s the case.

Wisconsin certainly was a second-half force in the opener. The Badgers scored 49 points in the final 30 minutes. Of course, in that game, Wisconsin put up just 10 in the first half. So any sign of life would make them a second-half team by comparison.

Against FAU, the game sort of drifted aimlessly to the foregone conclusion. Wisconsin didn’t really slam the door on the Owls and just coasted to the finish. But the Badgers started faster in game two.

In any event, the Badger defense hasn’t allowed a single second-half point in 2017. Obviously, that scoreless streak will come to an end at some point. But I truly don’t know if BYU football is the team to do it. Still, as noted in the previous question, this game is at altitude, so the Badgers can’t afford to leave it late, because they may be gassed.
