Luke Worthington, Junior

2014-15 statistics: 33 games played (21 starts), 12.3 MPG, 1.8 PPG, 1.7 RPG

Worthington is also returning from an LDS mission after spending two years with BYU basketball. A talented two-sport athlete in high school, Worthington has had a mixed run with the Cougars.

On one hand, he’s a pretty good rebounder and doesn’t take many bad shots. On the other, he’s not a great defender and seemed to struggle with his footwork in the 2014-15 season.

Still, he’s experienced and he gives Rose a body to put out there to A) grab rebounds and B) give five fouls.

I would expect Worthington to play around 10-15 minutes per night, mainly spelling Childs. If nothing else, he’ll give the Marriott Center a chance to dial up the “Luuuuuukkkkeeee” chants.
