Aeris Williams is a big, strong back

Mississippi State’s leading rusher is junior Aeris Williams. Williams has 409 yards on 74 attempts (5.5 YPC) and is a massive runner.

At 6-foot-2, 218-pounds, Williams is the definition of a bruiser. He’ll wear you down until he breaks off a big gain.

Williams has just 73 yards over his last two games, but averaged more than six yards per carry against LSU.

He’s also a decent pass catcher, racking up eight catches out of the backfield.

BYU football has been susceptible to the ground game. Wisconsin ran over the Cougars, as did LSU and Boise State. Mississippi State has formula that is very similar.

A big, bruising back behind a strong offensive line.

The Cougars haven’t shown any consistency in stopping the run yet, so it’s hard to imagine that will change on Saturday as the cow bells ring.
