Mississippi State is stingy at home

The Bulldogs bring it defensively when they’re at home. Through two contests in Starksville, Mississippi State is allowing just 270 yards per game.

To put that into perspective, BYU football has posted 270+ total yards in a game just twice this season (Portland State and Utah State).

So it could be a long afternoon for the Cougars.

While one of the Bulldogs’ two home games has come against Charleston Southern, it’s also worth noting that Mississippi State has allowed just one touchdown at home all season.

At the same time, Mississippi State has been outscored 80-13 over its last two games – to No. 11 Georgia and to No. 13 Auburn. But last week the Bulldogs were on a bye, so you’d have to assume some of the wrinkles have been ironed out.
