ECU deep threats

The Pirates have three receivers with more than 20 catches that are averaging more than 16 yards per reception. Luckily for the Cougars, ECU only averages 20 completions per game.

But, it only takes one deep ball to change the complexion of a drive.

Davon Grayson is the team’s leading receiver. He’s hauled in 37 passes for 631 yards and six scores. Grayson is averaging 17.1 yards per catch and has a long of 75 yards.

ECU’s second leading receiver is Trevon Brown. Brown has 23 catches, 384 yards and two scores. His long is a 95-yarder. Thirdly, we have Jimmy Williams. Williams has 18 catches for 294 yards and one touchdown on the year.

Quay Johnson isn’t the deep threat that Grayson, Brown and Williams are, but he’s hauled in 25 passes this year – so he’s another player to watch.
