BYU football wraps up its year with a trip to Hawaii to take on the Rainbow Warriors. Here are three things to know for this battle of bad teams.

BYU football’s season (somewhat mercifully) ends on Saturday, when the Cougars travel to Hawaii to take on the Rainbow Warriors. After the worst season in 60+ years, there’s no salvaging the mess the Cougars have made.

There will undoubtedly be changes coming for BYU football in the offseason. But before those changes take place, the Cougars have one more game to play.

After starting the season 2-0, Hawaii has dropped eight of its last nine games, meaning we’ve got a matchup of three-win teams on ours hands this Saturday.

Yay?

Here’s what to know for Cougars vs Rainbow Warriors.

Diocemy Saint Juste is running wild for Hawaii

The Rainbow Warriors don’t have a particularly potent offense – of course, any team looks explosive compared to BYU football. But the Rainbow Warriors rely on talented senior running back Diocemy Saint Juste.

Saint Juste has run for at least 78 yards in all but one game this season en route to his 270 carry, 1,471 yard 2017 season. He’s ranked 6th in the country in rushing yards – just 53 yards behind the No. 4 rusher (FAU’s Devin Singletary).

The Cougars are allowing an average of 164 rushing yards per game (181 yards on the road), so it seems like Saint Juste will have plenty of running room on Saturday. Plus, the Rainbow Warriors run exceptionally well at home, with Saint Juste topping 200 yards twice at Aloha Stadium.

Behind Saint Juste is senior Ryan Tuiasoa. Tuiasoa has 299 yards and five touchdowns on the year.
