Guy Holliday, Utah Wide Receivers Coach

Holliday had a nice run as wide receivers coach at BYU from 2013-15. He was an excellent recruiter and the Cougars always had a playmaker at the position.

When Bronco Mendenhall departed for Virginia, Holliday went north to Utah, taking the same position with the Utes.

Now might be the perfect chance to bring him back.

Holliday has more than 25 years of coaching experience, including two stints as offensive coordinator at Alabama State. He’s coached all around the country (from Mississippi State to Western Michigan to UTEP) and knows BYU football.

With Holliday as receivers coach in 2015, the Cougars ranked 21st in passing offense and 26th in 2014. At UTEP in 2008, the Miners were 14th in passing offense.

Basically wherever he goes an improved passing game follows. Perhaps most importantly, Holliday has had 22 wide outs sign with NFL teams (nearly one per season).
