Former BYU football star Jamaal Williams had himself a game against the Cleveland Browns, scoring two touchdowns in an OT victory for Green Bay.

BYU football’s all-time leading rusher has done it again. Jamaal Williams took over as the lead back for the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 12, when Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones went down with injuries.

From that point on, he’s done nothing but impress.

Last week, Williams was named the FedEx Ground Player of the Week after running for 113 yards and a touchdown in an overtime win over Tampa Bay.

He followed that performance up with another solid outing.

Williams took 15 carries for 49 yards and a touchdown (3.3 yards per carry) and added seven catches for 69 yards and a score.

J-Swag Daddy has really been a bright spot for a Packers’ offense that’s struggled since Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone. And speaking of Rodgers, it’s looking more and more likely that he’ll return this season.

If/when that happens, things will open up even more for Williams, who is usually taking hand-offs against stacked boxes.

Over the last five weeks, Williams has proven he’s capable of being a starting running back in the NFL – and a good one at that.

He’s taken 95 carries for 352 yards, while adding 18 receptions for 193 yards. Overall, he’s scored five total touchdowns in that span.

Like we mentioned a couple weeks ago, it’d be nice to see Williams have a few more explosive plays on the ground. But defenses aren’t afraid of Brett Hundley, and are trying to stuff the run to force third and long situations.

Next up for Williams and Green Bay is an away contest with the Carolina Panthers (9-4). ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives the Panthers a 66 percent chance of winning.
