No. 2: Men’s Track takes 3rd at Nationals

Unless you’re BYU men’s volleyball, it’s not often that a third place national finish is a disappointment.

Entering the NCAA Track & Field Championships, it was supposed to be a two-team race between BYU and defending champion Northern Arizona.

But the Cougars turned in one of their worst races of the year, finishing third. NAU won the title again, and WCC foe Portland took the second spot.

While that third place finish wasn’t the expected result, it’s tied for the best finish in BYU men’s history.

And being the third best team in the nation is nothing to sneeze at.
