The coaching staff

Kalani Sitake is the first Tongan FBS head coach in the country. With that comes a culture that has been seen as very relaxed. The “hang loose” attitude may have gotten a little too relaxed this past season, but it will surely be corrected.

Adding Jeff Grimes also is a great addition for recruiting. Grimes comes directly from LSU, a SEC school that finished ranked in the top 20 this season. He’s known for getting the best out of his players, while being a loving disciplinarian. Both of those things can be appealing to recruits.

Finally, the Cougars have added two other coordinators who were previous offensive coordinators. Fesi Sitake and Aaron Roderick have come from Weber State and Utah and bring a lot of experience to the team.

Again, I want to emphasize, these four factors are not the biggest factors when deciding a school to play for.  Often though, it is the small details that can get a big commitment, and these perks are only available with BYU football.
