BYU Football released the “color schedule” for what fans should wear to each game in 2018, but there are still a lot of uniform possibilities for each matchup.
The practice of wearing alternate uniforms isn’t new to College Football. In fact, its been around for decades. When Oregon started doing it several times a season a few years ago, things went to another level.
Although they remain relatively conservative, BYU football is no stranger to this activity. Some of their kits include navy with white, all-white, royal with white, all-navy, all-royal, and even all black with matching helmets.
Since the release, fans know what color to dress in for each game. What we don’t know, though, is exactly what uniform combinations the team will take the field in.
Let’s take a guess at what the Cougars will be decked out in each week.
The First Half
Week No. 1 – at Arizona Wildcats
Fan color: White.
Prediction – BYU football kicks off the season in their official colors, with white jerseys and navy pants.
Week No. 2 – California Golden Bears
Fan color: White.
Prediction – For their home opener it’s a whiteout, so the Cougars wear all-white uniforms with navy trim.
Week No. 3 – @ Wisconsin Badgers
Fan color: White.
Prediction – Once again, white tops with navy bottoms. Still nothing exciting, but don’t worry, it’s coming.
Week No. 4 – McNeese State Cowboys
Fan color: Navy Blue.
Prediction – For the first time this year, we see navy jerseys with white bottoms.
Week No. 5 – @ Washington Huskies
Fan color: White.
Prediction – Another white with navy combo again in this contest. Next week is where things start to get interesting.
Week No. 6 – Utah State Aggies
Fan color: Royal Blue.
Prediction – Kalani Sitake and the boys leave the locker room with the anticipated royal tops and white bottoms. Everyone awaits this combination two more times, but surprises are coming!
