Malik Moore and Isaiah Herron
This isn’t meant to short-change these two cornerbacks by putting them together, but you haven’t often heard one mentioned without the other since their introductions to the program.

Malik Moore (6’1, 180, Fr.) was a late signee in the 2018 recruiting class. Although not highly sought after in high school, he is speedy. In fact, he was timed at 10.84 in the 100-meter dash for the Point Loma High (CA) track team.
Isaiah Herron (6’0, 175, Fr.) also penned with the Cougars relatively late in this recruiting cycle.
He prepped at Arbor View High (NV). Like Moore, Herron was not heavily recruited.
So why put two under-recruited athletes on such an elite list? Defensive coordinator Ilaisa Tuiaki had this to say about the duo, “We got two corners that are coming in that we think are potentially going to play for us this year.”
It’s a real possibility that they’ll play a large role this year, despite being underclassmen. By leaping so many on the depth chart before even arriving for camp, clearly this pair has something special that has garnered such attention.
