BYU Football: Dates for home-and-home series with Baylor set
By Shaun Gordon
The dates are set for a home-and-home series between BYU Football and Baylor. The two teams will square off in October of 2021 and September of 2022.
Future BYU Football schedules are becoming more concrete.
More than two years after BYU and Baylor announced a home-and-home football series, the dates have been set, according to Baylor’s Media Guide.
The first game will take place on October 16, 2021 at Baylor’s McLane Stadium, and the Bears will come to LaVell Edwards Stadium the following season on September 10, 2022.
With the dates now set, it narrows down the possible weeks for the Cougars to fill out the rest of their schedule for both seasons.
That won’t matter too much in 2021, since 11 of the 12 games are already set:

The Cougars have one more home game to schedule, and it will likely be an FCS team. They’ll slot that game in on either November 6th or 13th.
Things are more open in 2022. So far BYU only has eight games scheduled for that year:

With the Baylor game slotting into the early part of the season, it leaves one more September opening and a lot of open weeks from late October into November. It’ll be interesting to see how quickly BYU acts to fill those slots before conference schedules start to become more concrete.
This will be the second time that BYU and Baylor square off in a home-and-home series. The Bears edged the Cougars at home 40-36 in 1983, and BYU got revenge in Provo the following year, with 47-13 blowout en route to a National Championship.
