But Husky Stadium is a whole new level of loud. In fact, it’s the loudest stadium in the nation when it’s at full capacity.
The Cougars did a good job blocking out the noise and distractions at Camp Randall Stadium two weeks ago, but they’ll have to be even more focused in Seattle. The nearby Seahawks boast about their fans being the “12th Man,” but it applies just as much to the Huskies.
It’s no wonder that Washington has won 15 out of their last 16 home games dating back to 2015. Opponents get rattled easily, and that leads to mistakes.
And if you make mistakes against a team like Washington you’re not likely to walk out of there with a win.
The Cougars were pretty sharp and focused against Arizona and Wisconsin, limiting mistakes. Not so much against Cal and McNeese State.
This game will test their discipline even more, and they’ve got to avoid getting rattled in order to shock the college football world for a second time this season.
