The offense has had a hard time finding its grove. It struggles for every yard it gains. Three players will be key in changing that against Utah State on Friday.

While BYU Football is off to a solid 3-2 start to the season, their offense is still struggling to put points on the board. The Cougars are failing to get chunk yardage, and stalling drives with mistakes and penalties.

With the hardest part of the schedule behind them, it’s time for the Cougars to see improvement on offense, and that starts on Friday against Utah State.

Here are three players that need to play big to jump-start the offense:

No. 1: Dylan Collie

Dylan Collie has been relatively quiet this season after joining the Cougars with a lot of hype this summer.  Although his 7 catches for 59 yards are admirable, the senior transfer has more to offer.

Last year, Collie racked up 67 receptions for 659 yards at Hawaii. That includes 7 catches for 59 yards against Utah State.  That’s right, he had in one game against the Aggies what he’s had in five so far for the Cougars.

Now, why such a difference? Collie’s production was against Mountain West Conference caliber talent. That’s exactly what BYU football encounters this Friday and for the majority of the rest of the season.

Watch as Collie takes a leap forward against the Aggies.  Fans will finally get the see what all the hype was all about, and the scoreboard will show it. After this happens, don’t expect it to change for the rest of the year.
