No. 3: Matt Bushman

Matt Bushman was a star for BYU Football in the 2017 season.  Catching 49 passes for 520 yards, the freshman All-American was one of the only bright spots of an otherwise pathetic offense.

To say that Bushman has been underutilized this season is a colossal understatement. Despite only having 6 receptions, he has amassed 109 yards, including one 24-yard grab for a touchdown. He’s also averaging a team-high 18.2 yards per catch.

Bushman not only should be a feature in Jeff Grimes’s offense, but now that Moroni Laulu-Pututau is lost of the season with an ACL tear, he must be.  This isn’t a bad option to have.  In fact, it’s shocking how it could take this long to actually start using him in a featured role.

It’s essential that Bushman has at least ten catches a game.  Anything less is absolutely unacceptable from this moment forward.  A talent like this needs the ball in his hands, and when he does against the Aggies this Friday it will be evident why.

Look for the sophomore to give the offense a huge boost, and be a part of a scoring frenzy that has yet to be seen this season.  Count on dominant performances by Bushman going forward.
