For the first time this season, all eight former BYU Football players on NFL active rosters played for their respective teams in Week 10.

It finally happened.

All eight former BYU Football players on active NFL rosters saw the field in Week 10 of the NFL season.

Players have missed time due to injury, had byes, or didn’t play due to the coach’s decision, but none of that happened this time.

Overall it was a fairly quiet week for the former Cougars, but the fact that they all saw the field is accomplishment enough for this week.

Let’s take a look at how each one did:

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)

Football’s version of the Swiss Army Knife did a little bit of everything again. He rushed 4 times for 24 yards, threw a pass that was dropped, had a pass thrown to him that he couldn’t haul in, and had a solo tackle on special teams.

As usual, he also lined up as the kickoff returner, but never had a chance to run on back in the Saints’ 51-14 win over Cincinnati.

Kyle Van Noy (New England Patriots)

Van Noy may have been the only bright spot in New England’s 34-10 loss at Tennessee. He led all players with 13 total tackles, and five of those were solo. He was also in on a tackle for loss.

Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers)

Warner may not have had as many tackles as he usually does (only four), but he played a bigger role in pass defense, batting away two passes. It wasn’t enough, though, as San Francisco lost to the New York Giants 27-23.

Jamaal Williams (Green Bay Packers)

It was a bittersweet day for the former Cougar, as he went out for the coin toss as a team captain, then only got three touches for three total yards in Green Bay’s 31-12 win over Miami.

John Denney (Miami Dolphins)

Speaking of Miami, Denney continues to plug along as the long-snapper for the Dolphins, who sit at 5-5 and are still right in the thick of the playoff chase.

Daniel Sorensen (Kansas City Chiefs)

Sorensen finally found his way back onto the field after a knee injury wiped out the first half of the season for him.

In his first game back the Chiefs took down the Cardinals 26-14, and Sorensen finished with five tackles, two of them solo.

Ezekiel Ansah (Detroit Lions)

Although he was questionable throughout the week, Ansah played in his second consecutive game after missing seven with a shoulder injury.

He was quiet statistically, though, only finishing with one solo tackle in the Lions’ 34-22 loss to the Bears.

Michael Davis (Los Angeles Chargers)

Davis has gradually earned a bigger role in the Chargers’ secondary, and it keeps paying off. In Los Angeles’ 20-6 win over Oakland he had four tackles (three solo) and also deflected a pass from Derek Carr.
