Only five former BYU Football players saw action in NFL Week 11, thanks to three former Cougars having bye weeks.

NFL Week 11 is in the books, and that includes the former BYU Football stars on active rosters.

It was a quiet week for the former Cougars, since three had bye weeks and none of the five that played had a standout performance.

All five that played made contributions, though. Let’s take a look at how they each fared:

Jamaal Williams (Green Bay Packers)

Green Bay only ran 49 offensive plays in their 27-24 loss to Seattle on Thursday night, and Williams only saw the field for four of them. He ran the ball once for five yards.

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)

For the first time, Hill was announced as a starting wide receiver for the Saints. He wasn’t able to catch the only ball thrown his way in New Orleans’ blowout win over Philadelphia, but he still managed:

  • 1/2 passing for 10 yards
  • Three rushes for four yards
  • One special teams tackle

Ezekiel Ansah (Detroit Lions)

Ziggy had his most productive game since his return from injury, recording another sack to go along with two tackles and two quarterback hits. The Lions edged the Panthers 20-19.

Michael Davis (Los Angeles Chargers)

Davis continues to see time in the Chargers’ secondary, and he had two tackles and a pass deflection in San Diego’s 23-22 loss to Denver.

Daniel Sorensen (Kansas City Chiefs)

Sorensen took part in what may be the most thrilling game of the season, recording two solo tackles in Kansas City’s 54-51 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Is anybody else hoping for a rematch of these two teams in the Super Bowl?

Kyle Van Noy (New England Patriots)

Van Noy and the Patriots had the week off, but they’ll be back in action next Sunday against the New York Jets.

Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers)

Warner and the 49ers also had their bye. They’ll take on Tampa Bay next Sunday.

John Denney (Miami Dolphins)

Just like Warner and Van Noy, Denney’s Dolphins had the weekend off, and they’ll return next Sunday at Indianapolis.
