Nine former BYU Football players suited up for their teams in NFL Week 14. Eight saw action, and one single-handedly turned the tide in his team’s win.

Week 14 is in the books for the NFL.

And this week a ninth former BYU Football star found himself on an active roster, as the New York Jets added Bronson Kaufusi to the active roster on Saturday.

He didn’t see any game action, but the other eight saw significant playing time.

As the regular season begins its home stretch, here’s how each of the former Cougars did this week:

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)

Hill may have single-handedly changed the scope of Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay. With the Saints trailing 14-3, Taysom’s blocked punt led to a touchdown that shifted the momentum:

Aside from the punt block, Hill had a slow day statistically. He had one rushing opportunity for -6 yards.

Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers)

Warner added four tackles (three solo) to his tally in San Francisco’s 20-14 win over Denver. That puts his total at 96, just eight away from being in the league’s Top 10.

Kyle Van Noy (New England Patriots)

Van Noy isn’t too far behind Warner on the tackles leaderboard. After seven on Sundays last-second loss to Miami his total sits at 83.

Along with his seven tackles, the former Cougar added a half a sack and a quarterback hit.

Jamaal Williams (Green Bay Packers)

Williams got the start in Green Bay’s 34-20 win over Atlanta, but only rushed the ball four times for 17 yards. Aaron Jones still got the bulk of the touches, even though the two running backs were nearly identical in yards per carry.

Ezekiel Ansah (Detroit Lions)

Ansah and the Lion defense held Arizona to just three points in their win, but the former Cougar was pretty quiet statistically. He finished with two tackles, one of them solo.

Daniel Sorensen (Kansas City Chiefs)

It took overtime for the Chiefs to pull out the 27-24 win against Baltimore. Sorensen continues to see more playing time as he returns from knee surgery and tallied three tackles in the victory.

Michael Davis (Los Angeles Chargers)

Davis had a solid game in Los Angeles’ secondary, totaling six tackles (five solo) in the Chargers’ 26-21 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

John Denney (Miami Dolphins)

Denney was on the other side of the Dolphins’ miracle win over the Patriots, continuing his long-snapping duties and extending his NFL-leading consecutive-games-played streak.

Bronson Kaufusi (New York Jets)

Kaufusi was available and on the active roster for the Jets in Week 14, but didn’t see the field in their 27-23 win over Buffalo.
