Eight of nine former BYU Football players saw action in NFL Week 15, including  a touchdown and some stellar defensive play.

That’s a wrap on the NFL’s Week 15.

The playoff races are heating up, and most of the former BYU Football players on active rosters are on teams in playoff contention.

One former Cougar scored a touchdown and four had big days on defense. Eight of the nine saw action over the weekend.

Here’s how all nine fared in Week 15:

Jamaal Williams (Green Bay Packers)

Williams saw a lot more touches on Sunday, and he made the most of it. He carried the ball 12 times for 55 yards and his second touchdown of the season:

He also caught four passes for 42 yards, leaving him just three yards shy of triple-digit total yards. It wasn’t enough, though, as the Packers lost to Chicago 24-17.

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)

Hill never threw the ball, but he did just about everything else in the Saints’ 12-7 win over Carolina. He rushed it once for 17 yards and had a pass target, although he couldn’t haul it in.

Oh, and he got in on a tackle in special teams.

Kyle Van Noy (New England Patriots)

Van Noy filled the stat sheet on Sunday: three tackles, a tackle for loss, and a sack. It wasn’t enough though, as the Patriots lost to Pittsburgh 17-10.

Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers)

Warner added nine tackles (and teamed up on a tackle for loss) to his season total in Sunday’s 26-23 win over Seattle. His 105 total tackles places him at No. 18 in the league as he continues to make a case for Rookie of the Year.

Michael Davis (San Diego Chargers)

Two former BYU defensive backs squared off on Thursday, and Michael Davis’ Chargers won it in the final seconds against Daniel Sorensen’s Chiefs 29-28.

Davis had four tackles and a pass deflection in the win.

Daniel Sorensen (Kansas City Chiefs)

Sorensen had a solid game on the opposite sideline in the loss. He’s slowly seeing more and more playing time, and had three tackles against the Chargers.

Bronson Kaufusi (New York Jets)

In his second game on the Jets’ active roster, Kaufusi finally saw action. He only got in on three snaps, though, and didn’t record any stats in New York’s 29-22 loss to Houston.

John Denney (Miami Dolphins)

Another week, another appearance at long-snapper for Denney. His Dolphins lost in Minnesota 41-17, spoiling an opportunity to make up AFC East ground on the New England Patriots.

Ezekiel Ansah (Detroit Lions)

Ziggy may have played his last football for Detroit. Earlier in the week the Lions placed Ansah on Injured Reserve after he re-injured his shoulder against Arizona.
