With all that’s going on in BYU sports, we’ve got too much to cover and not enough time. We need fans who want their voice heard to join the Lawless Republic team.

FanSided and Lawless Republic have one goal: allow fans to be heard.

There’s so much going on in the BYU sports world that people need to know about. From baseball to track and field. From basketball to gymnastics. From cross country to softball.

That’s where you come in.

With so much to write about, we need the fans who have the passion and knowledge to be a part of the action. You’ve dug into the stats, you’ve watched the games, and you should have a place to pass on what you’ve learned.

Lawless Republic has multiple openings for writers, and we want to fill them with Cougar fans who want to make sure their voice is heard.

Expectations

Anyone who writes for Lawless Republic is free to cover any aspect of BYU sports. Is your passion football? Then write about it. Are you a recruiting junkie? Share your insights and analysis.

We want to cover all the sports and all aspects of Cougar athletics. From basketball to swimming, from previews to profiles, you can write about it.

You’re already busy with various aspects of life: a family, school, a full-time job. We know how that is, since we’re the exact same.

Writers are asked to contribute as little as an article or two a week. You’re welcome to write more.

You don’t have to have a degree or previous writing experience (although that’s always a plus). All you need is a desire to share your insights with Cougar Nation.

Ready to Write?

Getting started is easy. Simply fill out an application here. You’ll be asked to give some insight into your previous writing background (if any), what you most want to write about, and why you think you’d be a good addition to the Lawless Republic team. You’ll add in a writing sample and you’re all set. We’ll get in touch with you from there.

If you have any questions about the roles, please feel free to email our recruiting director, Kyle Franzoni, at kyle.franzoni@fansided.com.
