Four of the nine former BYU Football players on active NFL rosters are still playing in the postseason, but only one saw action in the Wild Card round.

The first week of the NFL Playoffs is in the books, and only eight teams are still alive and playing for the Lombardi Trophy.

Of those eight teams, four of them feature former BYU Football players, but only one of them saw action during this weekend’s Wild Card round.

Here’s where all of the remaining former Cougars stand:

Michael Davis (Los Angeles Chargers)

The only former Cougar to play this weekend helped his Chargers pick up a 23-17 road win against Baltimore. Davis saw a majority of the defensive snaps, finishing with two tackles and two pass deflections in the win.

Next up for the Chargers is a road date with Kyle Van Noy and the New England Patriots on Sunday at 11:05am MT.

Kyle Van Noy (New England Patriots)

With their combination of record and division title, the Patriots earned the right to sit this week and await their next game. As the No. 2 seed in the AFC, they’ll play host to Davis and the No. 5 seed Chargers next week.

Daniel Sorensen (Kansas City Chiefs)

The Chiefs finished with the best record in the AFC, earning both a first round bye and home-field advantage until the Super Bowl. With both road teams winning this weekend in their conference, Kansas City will host the No. 6 seed Indianapolis Colts on Saturday at 2:35pm MT.

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)

Like Sorensen and the Chiefs, New Orleans finished with the best record in the NFC and earned a bye and home-field advantage. They’ll take on the NFC’s Wild Card road winners, the No. 6 seed Philadelphia Eagles, on Sunday at 2:40pm MT.

Other former Cougars active in the NFL:

  • Jamaal Williams (Green Bay Packers)
  • Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers)
  • Ezekiel Ansah (Detroit Lions)
  • Bronson Kaufusi (New York Jets)
  • John Denney (Miami Dolphins)
