1. Austin Kafentzis/Beau Hoge

Yes, I know these are two players but I am the writer so I get to change the rules. The reason why these two are together is because they are both in very similar situations. Both were once quarterbacks for BYU Football and both got put in to different positions and saw very little playing time last season.

Both of these players are really good athletes and one of them could have a Matt Hadley kind of break out season to finish out their BYU career. Remember, Hadley started his career on defense and then was moved to special teams  to handle kickoff returns, was moved back to defense and finished his career as arguably BYU’s best running back.

With a full offseason knowing that they won’t play quarterback, watch for one or both of these players to develop their skills into a new position. And with a lack of running backs and secondary players returning from last season, both Hoge and Kafentzis will at least have an opportunity to make a big impact in the same way that Hadley did in 2018.
