Christian Stewart

Remember when Taysom Hill went down in 2014 and it seemed like the season was over? Christian Stewart, who wasn’t even on the team anymore at the beginning of the season, was asked to take his spot and ended up playing very well in limited time. Stewart was a ball slinger and threw up stat lines like this against California: 23 for 38, 433 yards 5 TD 1 INT. In one game Stewart almost had more offense throwing that the Stallions have had in total offense in the first two games of the season. In eight starts Stewart threw for more than 300 yard five times and had an overall TD/INT ratio of 25/9. He may not be the most talented quarterback around, but if the Stallions want yards and fireworks asking Stewart to play may be a good idea.

James Lark

James Lark like Christian Stewart could have been a really good quarterback if he wasn’t playing behind an already good quarterback. Lark played in quite a few games from 2010-2012 but he only started and played the entirety of two games. Against New Mexico State Lark threw 34 for 50 for 384 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions. That is an incredible stat line and Cougar fans can only wonder what he could have done if given more reps. But with Riley Nelson and Taysom Hill both on the same roster, it is easy to see why his reps were limited. Also, Lark has been seen on Twitter talking about the AAF quite a bit.

Both of the players would likely have a learning curve and take time to get back into the swing of things, but you would think that both would provide more offense than what the Stallions are getting right now.
