1. Arizona Cardinals

The worst defense in the NFL is going to need a lot of help and Sione Takitaki appears to be in the right spot for him to be drafted for a team desperately needing help. With Kliff Kingsbury being the new coach there is no knowing how the defense is going to be, but there is almost a guarantee that he will want to use some of his first picks on offense, Kingsbury’s specialty.

It would not be a surprise at all to see the Cardinals draft three or four offensive players before taking a defensive player, despite needing defensive players.

In 2018, the Cardinals were worst in the league in rush defense giving up 154.9 yards per game including 666 in the final three games of the season. In other words, they need a much better rush defense.

Last season, three of teams top four tackles were safeties, again a major concern for any team. The top linebacker was Haason Reddick who has a similar skillset to Takitaki but still only had eight tackles for loss all season and showed to be more effective in the pass rush.

If Takitaki is still available in the middle to late rounds it would be a big mistake to pass up a player that could make an immediate impact in the rush defense.

No matter where Sione Takitaki ends up it is great to see him doing as well as he is and that from the Utah game to now his stock has changed from possibly drafted to likely drafted in a middle to late round.
