#4 – BYU takes 2nd place at NCAA Championships

Anytime a team can say they placed second in the NCAA Championships, it deserves to be called an extremely successful season. The Men’s Cross Country team won their first five meets, including the WCC Championships. This allowed them to qualify for the NCAA Mountain Region Championships, which was held in Provo and in which they placed second.

At Nationals, they finished second overall, which was the highest finished in team history. The season also marked the year where they had the most All-American runners with four and coach Ed Eyestone’s best team-finish and eight top-10 finish at the NCAA Championship as BYU’s Head Coach. What a season for Cross Country.
