Good Memory

One of Dave Rose’s biggest contribution as a coach was using his platform as a college coach to do good. In 2009, Rose was diagnosed pancreatic cancer which many people say as the end of his career. Not only did he coach but he fought and has had clean health bills since 2013. He passion to fight against cancer is nothing short of inspiring as he and his wife, Cheryl, seek to help as many people as they can while they can. In a team up with the Huntsmans Center he helped raise 105,000 dollars. He also won the Infinity Coaches Charity Challenge which brought in another 100,000 dollars for cancer research. Basketball is only a game, but cancer affects so many people around us and is part of the big picture and Coach Rose did his part.  The Rex Lee run has had Coach Rose as a big sponsor behind it which has brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer research as well. Thank you, Coach!

Honorable Mentions: Winning 19 games in every season as head coach, Kyle Collinsworth, the redemption of Nick Emery and Brandon Davies, timely technical fouls that motivated the team.
