12 seeds

Again, the 12 seeds are those teams typically that somehow always beat the 5 seeds but normally don’t make it too far in the tournament. They are fan favorites and the kind of teams that people don’t expect to win but always hope do.

Jimmer Fredette:  Here me out on this. Let’s face it, Fredette isn’t looking like the all star that we hoped he would be when he came back to the Phoenix Suns. Granted he has only played in a few games, but unless he is able to get things turned around really quick he may not be resigned after this season. Fredette already has expressed he does not want to go back to China, not because he doesn’t like the league but because he wants to be with his family. If you want a quick adrenaline booster to the BYU fanbase, Fredette would bring that immediately.

Danny Ainge: Similar to Fredette, Ainge would bring an instant energy back to BYU Basketball. Ainge is the GM of the Boston Celtics currently and likely won’t leave that position anytime soon. But who knows, maybe Ainge wants to get closer to the game again and finish out his career where it started, at the Marriott Center.

Lee Cummard: Lee Cummard was promoted this past season from a graduate assistant to an assistant coach. Older BYU Basketball fans remember how good Cummard was as a team captain during his days on the team and although it would lack the same energy and excitement as Ainge and Fredette, if given an interview fans would get behind him.
