The countdown to BYU Football continues as we now hit 84 days until kickoff.

12 weeks! 12 weeks until the start of BYU Football! 12 weeks doesn’t sound too bad does it? Oh it does? Well, at least it is getting closer.

Did you know that during an average season, fifteen players will have to sit out at least one game because of injuries? Granted a lot of these players are backups that get hurt in practice and may have never played anyway, but 15 is a lot of players!

Looking back at just some of the more recent injuries we can name off players like Taysom Hill, Squally Canada, Cody Hoffman, Corbin Kaufusi and the list can go on and on. In fact, Corbin Kaufusi even said that by the end of the season, everyone is beat up and injured and nobody is actually healthy anymore.

Injuries are a really sad part of the game of football. A promising player who has a standout season can suddenly become irrelevant if injuries start to get involved, especially if that player is injury prone.

Today’s player features someone who had an amazing start to his career, but because of injuries, he became irrelevant down the stretch.
