With the NBA and NHL seasons ending this week, it is a good thing there is only 80 more days until the start of BYU Football.

It is interesting how this time of year, most fans of the NBA and NHL start to hope that playoff series extend out longer. This time last year, because of how dominant the Warriors were in the playoffs and because of quickly both them and Cavaliers got to the Finals the finals were already over. This year we are a bit more fortunate to at least have one more game to look forward to and possibly two or three games.

The NHL playoffs are also still going on. Although the path the Finals has been quick, the Stanley Cup Finals have been forced to play a game seven between the St. Louis Blues and the Boston Bruins.

This is important because we are about to move into the dead period without any major sports events unless you are really into Tennis or Golf, which if you are, good for you. Either way, every single extra day we get to look forward to a major sporting event the better.

College Football is now only 75 days away technically,  but for BYU Football, and perhaps the first big game of the college football season it is 80 days away.

Today’s player features someone who I honestly did not remember before researching and putting this list together, but his big hits and hot streak games earned him a spot in the BYU Football Top 100.
