We are now only 64 days away from the start of the BYU Football season.

I know I do this every week week, but 64 days ago was Wednesday April 23rd. On that day BYU students were in their final day of Finals and the Seniors would be graduating the next day. The Jazz had just been eliminated by the Houston Rockets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, Taylor Swift released her new song “ME” at midnight and the Saint Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays were leading their MLB divisions 25 games into the season.

That wasn’t that long ago. Sure, a lot has happened since then but honestly, it doesn’t feel like I was seeing all the graduation posts and watching the Jazz’s season end that long ago. That is how much longer we have to wait for BYU Football and that is encouraging to me.

Today’s player in the countdown is a tight end that was on the team at the wrong time if he was looking to pad his stats. He was on the right team however, if he wanted to win… A lot.
