With AAC talks appearing to be dead, it is time to focus on BYU Football for the next 61 days.

It is finally over! I’m not going to lie, it was sort of fun for the first five minutes, but after the fourth day of forcing AAC content down our throats, it was getting old with very few new stories and information worth listening to.

Yesterday, on BYUtv’s Sports Nation, the AAC Commissioner Mike Aresco told Cougar Nation that as far as AAC expansion goes, there has been virtually no communication between BYU and the AAC and that in all likelihood the conference will stay at 11 teams.

Sure that doesn’t completely shut the door on expansion, but the door is closing enough to not be worth talking about for now. Instead, we get to focus on more important things like the fact that BYU Football is playing in only 61 more days!

Today’s player on the countdown is a more recent player. Lately, many of our players have been from the 80’s and 90’s but today’s is one that unless you’re a brand new fan, you’ve heard about him.
