There are now only 59 days until the start of the BYU Football season.

I did this last month, but now we can officially say that BYU Football starts next month. Sure it is about as far as you can get away from it, but since it is July 1st and the Cougars will play the Utes on August 29th, we can absolutely say that next month we will be watching BYU Football.

59 days does not seem all too bad either. Sure it is still nearly two months, but I recall watching BYU Sports Nation and seeing Jarom Jordan and Spencer Linton doing the “Countdown to the Utes” and the number around 190. We are almost entering that “it is really close” period. When the air starts to smell like football season and it becomes real.

Today’s player in the countdown was previewed a bit back in the early 90’s as as the most memorable kicker in BYU Football history.
