BYU Football will kick off their season in only 37 more days!

The Utah vs BYU Football game is starting to more and more appear like the BYU vs Oklahoma game from 2009. I’ve said if before, but BYU fans are not looking at anything but a rivalry game. This game is going to be huge. Phil Steele seems to have some kind of love interest with the Utes and when he has that most of college football follows.

If BYU is able to knock off the Utes and their fan bases that are now being told that they are the dark horses to win the National Championship it would almost be worth the 8 years of losing from a rivalry standpoint. I don’t say that because I hope the Utes to be terrible, but for this rivalry to be reignited and strong again something crazy needs to happen.

It will be very interesting to see where the Utes are ranked after the first preseason rankings come out in a few weeks, but given their recent momentum and national attention, it would not be surprising at all to see them in the Top 12.

Today’s player in the Countdown features a running back that was actually more of a receiver.
