We are four weeks away from the start of the BYU Football season.

We are four weeks away! Yesterday was the first official day of practicing for the team and there were a few takeaways already. Neil Pau’u who pleaded guilty to a DUI earlier this summer will be redshirting this season, however he will not be kicked off the team. Also, there are a few new faces in different positions such as Kavika Fonua who has moved from running back to inside linebacker.

The most interesting part was Zach Wilson. Although nobody has said where he is on his recovery, he looked sharp and ready for playing. His passes seemed strong and accurate from what was released, however it is unlikely he will be asked to run the ball very much to start off the season.

Yesterday didn’t feature any live tackling or pads so we are still waiting to see how physical Kalani is going to let the team get before the first game.

Today’s player in the countdown is a defensive end who to this day holds the BYU record in sacks in a season.
