Coaching Staff

To this point, the article has been for the most part doom and gloom, which is not what I like to focus on, especially for a team that allowed only 23 points against UCF and 17 points against Boise State.

Perhaps the most important piece that is not leaving this defense is the coaching staff. BYU did not allow a single team to score more than 26 points all season (Houston). They held nine teams to two touchdowns or less!

Yes there is a lot of talent gone, and that will be missed, and quite honestly can not be replaced in the same way that it was last year. Despite all of players gone, I have faith that this coaching staff will be able to get the most out of the team and put together a defensive unit that will give the team a great chance to win every game.

____________

There is no doubt that this defense is going to struggle at times. What do you think? Will the Cougars be able to get offenses off the field, or will BYU have to win games in shootout form?
