Jackson McChesney

Although I don’t believe that McChesney will get a lot of reps behind Katoa and Allgeier, McChesney could still end up being a player with a surprisingly good season. We tend to forget that McChesney holds the all-time rushing record for BYU by a freshman when he went off for 228 yards against UMass.

With his speed and agility, McChesney could be a utility player who is brought in for sweeps and pitch plays. With Allgeier and Katoa both being bruiser kind of running backs to an extent, the speedy change could catch defenses off guard and realistically McChesney could end up with 400+ rushing yards this season on something crazy like 8+ yards per carry.

McChesney could also be used in a game where the inside defenders (Utah) dominate the line of scrimmage. In these games, getting to the outside as quickly as possible will play in McChesney’s favor.
