BYU Football: Ranking the games in 2021

No. 2 Arizona State
Arizona State could be the best team that BYU plays u̶n̶t̶i̶l̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶ ̶A̶l̶a̶b̶a̶m̶a̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶N̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ ̶C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶h̶i̶p̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶. This team came on strong at the end of the year last season and is projected by many to be a top 20 team. I have them as my surprise team of the year possibly going undefeated.
A win here for BYU could be huge. Assuming the Cougars don’t start 0-2, a win against the Sun Devils would rank BYU and make them nationally relevant. Perhaps the best part is that they would stay relevant likely for at least three weeks as their next opponents are South Florida and Utah State, two teams BYU should have no issue beating.
If BYU somehow starts off 2-0 and then takes down Arizona State, the Cougars will be the UCF or Cincinnati of college football until they lose a game, if they lose one. Even if they do lose a few weeks later, the national buzz around the team will be helpful for BYU and their future as they try to position themselves well before huge changes coming to college football.
