No. 9 Washington State

At this point if you have BYU’s schedule memorized, you are probably wondering where a certain G5 team is. They are below Washington State, no I haven’t forgotten.

Washington State and Arizona honestly are on the same level as far as competition goes, however since WSU is played so late in the season, it drops down to No. 9.

The WSU Cougars normally aren’t very good. Outside of a few years with Mike Leach and Gardner Minshew (how those two ended up in Eastern Washington together is beyond me) the Cougars haven’t been a top Pac 12 team. More of the same is expected in 2021. Most metrics have them finishing last in the Pac 12 North. Quarterback Jayden de Laura could be sneaky good, but if BYU plays their game, they should win.
